Another wood floor refinishing job in the books and this one was definitely on-trend.
Our mission: get rid of the ‘orange’ and bring these white oak floors back to their true color.
These beautiful character grade white oak floors were installed in Westport, CT by Wall Street Wood Floors twenty years ago. They were coated with the tung oil at the time. Over the years they turned amber. Have a look at the before.
Before: Amberized White Oak
We sanded off multiple coats of the tung oil and removed 20 years of amber and patina. The next step was to apply Bona Kemi’s Nordic Seal along with their non-amber topcoat finish.
The floors now look like they were installed yesterday. Have a look and let us know if you have any questions about your amber-looking hardwood floors.
