Our latest client came to us in need of hardwood floor refinishing from the beautiful seaside neighborhood of Black Rock in Connecticut. It’s situated right between Fairfield and Bridgeport. The home was built less than a hundred years ago but maintains some lovely antique pine floors.

It was in need of refinishing.

Our task was to remove and sand off the existing finish and create a new lighter look. We didn’t want to deviate from pine’s original nature by staining it. Pine floors…don’t stain ’em!

Here are a couple pictures from our most recent work:

Another “Before” picture as we prep the home to begin sanding.

After: you can see the water based finish drying here after 3 coats.

A beautifully refinished antique pine floor (still wet).

A job like this will usually take one work week to finish. We moved the furniture out on Monday and put down the final coat of Bona waterbased finish on Friday.

It’s another happy customer in Connecticut. Give us a call to inquire about the condition of your antique wood floors. We serve all of Fairfield County and Westchester County as well.
